Historic Hotels of America is the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation for recognizing and celebrating the finest Historic Hotels. The Inn is also a Select Registry country inn and restaurant in the Valle Crucis Historical District of Watauga County, North Carolina, which has been welcoming guests since the 1800s. While there have been extensive historically accurate renovations and improvements, the hospitality remains rural mountain, traditional, attentive and sincere.
